Recently a team of young researchers finished part of the second phase of the study on CIGS based in France, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands that are working with a multitude of organisations and communities in Nepal and Senegal. At the 1st of June the international research team came together to discuss the intermediate results: master students of Radboud University, Lund University and KU Leuven, research interns and early career researchers based in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Senegal and Nepal. Together with this team the research team is expanding our understanding of what shapes the development interventions and partnerships of citizen led development organisations. There is still work in progress, but what becomes clear so far is that maneuvering the conditions and preferences of donors plays a key role in the work of these organisations. To be continued!
