Secretary reflects on developments

Our secretary ErnstJan Stroes recently had the opportunity to reflect on the development of the European Network for Citizen Initiatives in Global Solidarity at the Collective Leadership Institute’s 2024 “Transformation Literacy Conference!” Here you can find his reflections, alongside other inspiring discussions.

The annual online conference of the Collective Leadership Institute is to share reflections on a variety of international solidarity projects and take leanings from these initiatives. During the workshop after the presentation of our secretary ideas were shared how the network can invigorate itself and inprove its performance. The conference is specially meant to reflect critically on development of international initiatives for sustainable development and find points were improved collective leadership for the SDGs can have added value.

The capacity building working group focuses on training activities that are organised by the members to strengthen the capacities of CIGS.

The funding working group exchanges practices on processes and procedures for funding of CIGS and their development activities in the global South.

The research working group unveils valuable insights in the CIGS communities and their relevance for sustainable development and in mobilising the public to engage in international solidarity.

The coordination group undertakes action in European matters of relevance for CIGS or for the members of the network. This is the management and the organisations of the network as a whole.
